Best Ever Simple Chocolate Nice Cream (Oil-Free, Refined-Sugar-Free)
Makes 1 ½ Cups
Rich, creamy, and refreshing, this nice cream is a chocolate lover's paradise! Perfect for a sunny day, enjoy this indulgent treat on its own, or sandwiched between 2 cookies!
2 ripe medium bananas, frozen
¼ tsp salt
3-4 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp maple or agave syrup
2 tbsp non-dairy milk
3 tbsp mini vegan chocolate chips and/or 2 tablespoons vegan chocolate syrup (optional)
Add all ingredients (minus chocolate chips and chocolate syrup, if using) to a high-speed blender or food processor. Pulse until a smooth mixture has formed, scraping down sides halfway through.
Transfer nice cream to a freezer-safe container. Fold in chocolate chips and/or drizzle chocolate syrup over top before freezing, if desired. For best results, freeze for at least 12 hours (overnight!). Leftovers will keep for 1-2 weeks in freezer.
Hershey's Brand chocolate syrup is a great vegan option!
If you want to speed up the freezing process, give this nice cream just 2-3 hours! It will be equally as delicious, but more like soft-serve, and it will melt quicker this way, so eat it fast!
